What is being represented? How is it being represented?
The style and presence that Drake has, this is by the black and white and then his name in a contrasting gold colour which also shows his importance. The issue is also the 150th of the magazine which means they want to have a high profile artist on the cover.
How is the representation made to seem 'true', 'commonsense' or 'natural'?
It is made to seem a mix of all of the factors as the black and white but also the look he is giving is a natural look.
What is Foregrounded and what is Backgrounded? Are there any noticeable absences?
The photo is Foregrounded and the Masthead is in the Background, there isn't any noticeable absences.
Whose representation is it? Whose interests does it reflect? How do you know?
I think Dyer isn't being represented as Drake isn't acting and is natural arrogant, and will all ways try to look his best.
At whom is this representation targeted? The representation is targeted a very teen audience but also targeted at a mixed sex.
What does the Representation mean to you? To me is means that drake is the best and that he's used as a special occasion.
How does people make sense of it? Its quite a simple Front Cover to understand with as the Masthead is the same and the Title is the name of the artist 'Drake'.
What I would include in my magazine from this:
- I like the colour scheme that the front cover has, also the fact that the masthead is the in the regular colour helps to show it's importance.
